This fall, Texas Tech Athletics will honor eight former standout athletes by inducting them into its Hall of Fame, as announced by the university on Tuesday, May 27. The 2025 class features iconic figures from six sports, including football, track and field, soccer, golf, and baseball.
The inductees include football legends Ryan Aycock, Aaron Hunt, and B.J. Symons; track and field athletes Cierra White and JaCorian Duffield; soccer star Janine Beckie; golfer Gabriella Dominguez; and baseball player Matt Kastelic.
Will Culpepper, executive director of the Double T Varsity Club, commended the class for their accomplishments and integrity. “There are many remarkable individuals with impressive achievements,” he stated. “However, when you consider all these individuals this year, they possess numerous accolades, along with the qualities of teammates, individuals, and competitors they embody.”
Culpepper noted that as Red Raider athletics has flourished in recent decades, the pool of worthy candidates has only expanded. “Having a strong bench is fantastic,” he remarked. “Each year, we will have exceptionally strong candidates.”
The upcoming Hall of Fame members will be officially inducted at a ceremony on November 7 in Lubbock, with on-field recognition taking place the following day at Jones AT&T Stadium during Texas Tech’s football game against Brigham Young University (BYU).
This year's class showcases the remarkable depth and excellence of Texas Tech's athletic legacy, with each inductee having made a significant impact on the program throughout their collegiate careers.
