Texas Tech football will receive the documentary treatment this summer after Paramount+ announced it has greenlit a four-part docuseries chronicling the Red Raiders' offseason and efforts to build on last season's success.

The series, produced by Skydance Sports, began filming in January 2026 and is expected to premiere on Paramount+ before the start of the 2026 college football season, according to an announcement released Monday.

The documentary follows the Red Raiders after their Orange Bowl appearance, offering viewers behind-the-scenes access to the program as coaches, players, and staff prepare for a new season.

"Texas Tech football has one of the most passionate fanbases in college sports, and this docuseries will give them an unprecedented look at what it takes to build an elite program," said Jane Wiseman, executive vice president and head of originals for Paramount+.

Texas Tech Athletics Director Kirby Hocutt said the project will showcase the people and culture behind the university's athletic program.

"This documentary will give the Red Raider Nation an inside look at everything that makes Texas Tech athletics special—the people, the passion, and the relentless pursuit of excellence that defines this program every day," Hocutt said. "We are incredibly proud that Paramount+ selected Texas Tech for a groundbreaking documentary with rare access."

Greg Groggel, senior vice president of unscripted programming at Skydance Sports, said the production captures a transformative period in college football.

"This has proven to be a landscape-altering offseason, and we've been lucky to have a front-row seat," Groggel said. "This series will present fans and viewers with an unprecedented window into everything that is defining college football today."

The announcement comes during a period of heightened attention surrounding Texas Tech athletics, with several unrelated controversies involving individuals connected to the university making headlines in recent months. The university has not indicated that those matters will be featured in the documentary.

The four-episode series is expected to provide fans with unprecedented access to team meetings, offseason preparations, and the inner workings of one of the nation's fastest-rising college football programs as the Red Raiders prepare for the 2026 season.
