Micah Hudson, a wide receiver for Texas Tech and a former five-star prospect, said Sunday night that he is going back to the Red Raiders after a short time with Texas A&M.

Hudson signed with Texas A&M before entering the NCAA transfer window at the end of the 2024–25 season. He did, however, take a break from the Aggies' football team soon after starting the spring semester of 2025. Hudson tried to move again when the summer transfer window opened in the middle of April.

Hudson told his fans about his choice in a post on X, which used to be called Twitter. He wrote, "Lubbock has always been home, and I'll always be grateful to the coaching staff, teammates, and fans who make that possible." I'm back to finish what I began. I learned a lot about myself and what it means to be a family member through this. Thank you! "Wreck them."

Hudson made a name for himself at Texas Tech as a rookie, when he caught eight passes for 124 yards. Even though he didn't do much, he was seen by many as one of the program's best young performers.

When he comes back, it will be a huge boost for Texas Tech's receivers going into the 2025 season. Fans are also happy to see the skilled playmaker back in Lubbock.

The Red Raiders' staff and head coach Joey McGuire have not yet made a public statement about Hudson's return.
