A 45-year-old man accused in a Lubbock County sexual assault investigation was arrested earlier this month in Bexar County and transported back to West Texas to face charges, authorities said.

Eric Luna was arrested July 10 and charged with sexual assault in connection with an incident reported in March 2025.

According to jail records, Luna was apprehended in Bexar County before being transferred to the custody of Lubbock County authorities.

Following his arrest, investigators transported Luna to the Lubbock area, where he was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center.

Court records show Luna's bond was set at $150,000.

Authorities have not released additional details about the allegations or the circumstances surrounding the March incident, and charging documents were not immediately available.

The investigation remains active, and officials have not indicated whether additional charges or arrests are expected.

Sexual assault is a second-degree felony in Texas and can carry significant prison time upon conviction, depending on the circumstances of the case and a defendant's criminal history.

An arrest or criminal charge is an accusation, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Anyone with additional information related to the case is encouraged to contact the appropriate law enforcement agency handling the investigation.

Luna remained in custody at the Lubbock County Detention Center, according to the latest available records.
