The City of Lubbock has started its annual budget workshop process. City staff and the council are involved in discussions that are expected to last nearly a month. City Manager Jarrett Atkinson and council members, including councilman-elect Tim Green, are participating in the process.

Green, who has not yet been sworn in, is attending sessions to learn and ask questions. The first session covered various city funds, including enterprise and special revenue funds. Further details about the budget discussions are available from the city.
