The Lubbock Economic Development Alliance has approved a deal with Corva to build a data center in northeast Lubbock. This project, known as Project Infrared, will be located near Municipal Drive and Guava. The data center is expected to use significantly less power than large-scale facilities, with initial usage starting at 6 megawatts and a maximum of 27 megawatts per day.

Further details about the project are available from the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance, including comparisons to other local manufacturers and the city's definition of a large-scale data center.
