Veteran Lubbock Banker Drew Anderson Tapped to Lead First United Bank’s Local Operations

Anderson, with over 25 years of banking experience, will oversee the bank’s operations in Lubbock. He will be based at the Lubbock-Northwest Banking Center located on 4th Street. He has held leadership positions at numerous prominent institutions, such as First National Bank, Norwest, Wells Fargo, and First Bank & Trust.

R. Mark Bain, the CEO of First United Bank, expressed his approval of Anderson’s appointment, highlighting his professional qualifications and engagement in community activities. Drew has officially joined the First United Bank team, a development met with enthusiasm by Bain, who expressed his satisfaction in a recent statement. 

Drew has been a significant figure in the banking sector and the community for over 20 years, earning admiration and respect for his professionalism and leadership. First United Bank is poised to benefit from adding a new leader, who is expected to be an excellent fit for the organization. The anticipation surrounding his leadership is palpable among the team.

Anderson, a Lubbock’s Monterey High School graduate, pursued further education at Abilene Christian University and Southern Methodist University. 

In addition to his banking responsibilities, he is engaged in community initiatives and currently chairs the operations committee at Downtown Civic Park.
