By Friday, it will still be in the 90s to low 100s, but there is a chance of a storm or shower. As monsoon moisture comes into the area, especially west of Highway 385 from Dimmitt to Seminole, there will be a little more chance of rain over the weekend.

It will be partly to mostly cloudy Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the upper 80s to mid-90s. There is a chance of storms in the afternoon and evening. Lows overnight will stay in the 60s and 70s.

Monsoon rain is expected to persist for a while next week before shifting west as high pressure builds over Colorado.

A cold front is expected to arrive in the middle of the week, bringing cooler weather and a higher chance of rain, although forecasters are still uncertain about the exact conditions.
