Sunday was a big day for the Texas Tech softball team. They got the No. 12 place in the NCAA Championship and will host the NCAA Lubbock Regional for the first time in school history.

The Red Raiders (45-12) just came off a strong run in the Big 12 Tournament, where they shut out Baylor, Arizona State, and Arizona in a row, scoring 26-0 against each team. With their win over Arizona on Saturday, they won their first Big 12 Tournament title and their first conference championship during the regular season. These are both historic firsts for the school.

Tech has tied its school record for wins with 45, and its 20 conference wins set a new high. Their first NCAA game since 2019 will be in this year.

At 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Tech will play its first Regional game against Brown (33-15). The next game, between Mississippi State (37-17) and Washington (34-17), will air at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.

Members of the Red Raider Club and people who have season tickets can request all-session tickets until Tuesday at 5 p.m. by calling 806-742-TECH or going to texastech.com/myaccount. The public will be able to buy any leftover tickets on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. Digital copies of all tickets will be sent out.

Tech students will get information about tickets early this week via email.

If you have any questions, you can call 806-742-TECH or email redraidertickets@ttu.edu the Texas Tech Ticket Office.
